Early 2026 Demo

Public demo video and homepage workflow

  • Published a product demo showing the floating widget, selected context, and AI actions inside existing workflows.
  • Refined the homepage around the core loop: select text or files, click AskAny, get the answer, and continue working.
  • Improved the model picker and context examples so new users can understand the product before signing up.
Late 2025 Mac

Mac desktop app released

  • Released the AskAny.ai desktop app for macOS, bringing the floating widget workflow to Mac users.
  • Added Mac-specific shortcut handling and refined the always-on-top assistant behavior.

Mid 2025 Windows

Windows desktop beta released

Waitlist opened for early access

  • Opened the first AskAny.ai waitlist for people who wanted early access to the desktop workflow.
  • Collected feedback around the most common daily AI tasks: rewriting, summarizing, translating, comparing, and asking questions about selected context.
  • Prioritized a simple desktop-first experience over a heavy workspace that users need to manage manually.
March 2025 Start

AskAny.ai project started

  • Started building AskAny.ai around a simple idea: AI should be available inside the workflow, not trapped in another browser tab.
  • Explored early prototypes for selected-text actions, fast model access, and a lightweight assistant that stays out of the way until needed.
  • Set the foundation for the desktop widget, model picker, and context-first product direction.
