September 2026Browser workspace

One browser workspace, one product boundary

Made the console the canonical browser shell so chats and previews stay inside the workspace instead of becoming separate browser destinations.
Fresh verified accounts now land directly in a new chat instead of passing through an unnecessary setup flow.
Clarified the product boundary: AskAny provides the workspace and features; OpenRouter provides the model catalog, routing, and ongoing model usage billing.
Refined activation measurement around reaching the workspace and completing a first useful model response instead of page-level setup milestones.

2026Workspace

Connected work, Studio, and transparent model usage

Added connected-app workflows so chats can pull in relevant context and present write actions for review before they run.
Expanded AskAny Studio for image, video, and audio creation inside the same workspace.
Added usage views that separate the AskAny product subscription from OpenRouter model spend, tokens, requests, and model mix.
Introduced Free Preview so a new account can reach first value before connecting OpenRouter for ongoing usage.

2025–2026Historical

Earlier installed-app experiments

AskAny originally explored native installed-app workflows on Windows and macOS, including floating access, selected-context actions, and global shortcuts. That work remains part of the product history and the installed app can continue evolving later.

The current public acquisition path is browser-first. We are not presenting installed-app downloads as the primary way to start using AskAny.
